Coat of arms

D’azur, à trois têtes de hallebardes et deux canifs croisés emmanché d’or

(Blue background decorated with three halberd heads and two crossed gold-handled penknives)

This coat of arms, which serves as an emblem and a rallying symbol for the large family, is reputed to have been awarded to a CANIVET by Anne of Brittany for services rendered, just before her wedding with Charles VIII in 1491.
This information has been provided in 1975 by a sousin CANIVET but we are looking for more infomations.

Other “Canivet” coats of arms have been listed. For more details, you can have a look into the book of  Jackie Canivez has written (in french) about the Family.
